What rock climbing holidays include
Your plan covers the crag — grade, style, approach time — plus accommodation nearby, car hire where needed, and flight options. We include beta on local gear shops, rest-day options, and the best cafés within reach of the crag. For multi-pitch and alpine routes, we include guide options where relevant.
Best destinations for rock climbing
Kalymnos in Greece is the top sport climbing destination in Europe — thousands of routes across 70+ crags, warm sun from April to November, and a climbing-focused infrastructure. Spain's Siurana and Chulilla are close behind. For limestone sport climbing closer to home, the Verdon Gorge in France is spectacular. The UK's own crags — Pembroke, Portland, the Peak District — are world-class for trad.
Common questions
What grade do I need to be to climb abroad?
There's no minimum — we plan the trip around your current grade. Most destinations have routes from 4 to 9a+.
Do I need to bring my own gear?
Harness and shoes, yes. Ropes and draws can be hired at most climbing-specific accommodation in sport crags destinations.
Is guiding available?
Yes at most destinations. We flag local guide services in your plan if you want them for multi-pitch or unfamiliar areas.
