Corporate Cycling Holidays

Corporate cycling holidays work because cycling is the rare team activity that scales from mixed-ability groups, builds genuine social capital, and produces the long lunch conversations no offsite meeting room ever does. We plan leadership retreats, sales kick-offs and partner offsites built around two or three days of riding.

Corporate cycling holidays and retreats

Why a corporate cycling holiday works

Corporate cycling holidays are increasingly common because they solve the offsite problem that golf used to solve before golf became too slow, too gendered and too course-availability-dependent. Cycling lets you put 12-40 colleagues on bikes for 4 hours, split by pace if needed, have a long lunch in the middle, and arrive back at the hotel by 4pm in time for the actual offsite work. Mixed abilities are handled by pace splits (we run a fast, medium and easy group simultaneously). Non-cycling colleagues do hotel spa or partner activities. Everyone meets for dinner. The result is a retreat that uses the body, builds social capital, and still gets the strategy work done — which is the whole point of an offsite.

Best destinations for corporate cycling retreats

Corporate cycling holidays favour destinations with: short UK flights (1.5-3 hours), cycling hotels that can host a private group, and the meeting-room infrastructure for the offsite work itself. Mallorca is the canonical choice — multiple cycling hotels (Castell de Sant Joan, Tolo's, Hotel Pollentia) have meeting rooms suitable for 20-50 attendees, plus the cycling infrastructure already in place. Tuscany works for higher-end retreats (Castello del Nero, Borgo Scopeto) with the Michelin-level dinners and the agriturismo authenticity. Provence is the food-focused alternative. The Algarve handles larger corporate cycling events of 50-100 attendees.

What we handle for corporate retreats

Corporate cycling holidays planning involves more than holiday planning. We organise: private hotel-or-villa block bookings, meeting room hire with AV, dedicated event coordinator on-site, bike hire at scale, ride leader hire (multiple ride leaders for pace splits), all transfers including airport coaches, partner/non-cyclist activities (spa, vineyard tour, kayak), dietary requirement management, group invoicing and a single point of contact through to the trip. Most corporate cycling retreats are 3-5 days; 4-night Friday-Tuesday is the canonical structure. Tell the concierge attendee count, dates and offsite goals and we'll return a full proposal.

FAQ

Common questions

How many attendees can you handle?

12-50 is our standard range. Above 50 it splits across two hotels (Mallorca's largest cycling-hotel cluster handles up to 80 at adjacent properties). Below 12 we usually combine into a single cycling-hotel allocation.

What if not everyone cycles?

Most retreats have 60-80% cycling and 20-40% non-cycling. We plan partner activities (spa, vineyard tour, kayak, photography day) so non-cyclists are equally engaged.

Best destination for a UK corporate cycling retreat?

Mallorca for standard corporate trips. Tuscany or Provence for high-end leadership retreats. Algarve for larger sales kick-offs (50+ attendees).

Can we do meetings around the cycling?

Yes — most cycling hotels we use have meeting rooms for 20-50 attendees. Standard structure: ride 8:30am-1pm, lunch, meetings 2:30pm-6pm, dinner 7:30pm.

How far ahead to book?

6-9 months for peak-season (March-May) cycling retreats. 3-4 months for autumn or shoulder season.

Do you handle dietary requirements and accessibility?

Yes — all hotels we use handle vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, kosher, halal. Accessibility for non-riders varies by property; we'll flag in your proposal.
