Golf society trips are operationally different from individual golf holidays. Most societies are 16-40 players, often graduating through three or four flights of mixed handicap. Society rates on accommodation and green fees typically kick in at 12+ players. Tee times need to be in flighted blocks (four flights of four every 8 minutes, etc) — most courses can do this but only if booked early. Coaches, transfers and luggage handling become critical above 16 players. The captain's table dinner each night needs proper restaurant capacity.
